Numanthia 2015 Magnum is a premium red wine produced by Bodegas Numanthia, a prestigious winery located in the Toro region of Spain. This wine is the result of a careful selection of grapes from the Tinta de Toro variety, which is a native grape variety of the area known for its great intensity and concentration.
The Numanthia 2015 Magnum is characterized by its power and complexity. It has been made with grapes from low production vineyards, with an average age of over 50 years, which gives this wine a great concentration of flavors and aromas. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels during an extended maceration period, followed by aging in new French oak barrels for 18 months, and further refinement in bottle before release.
In terms of its appearance, the Numanthia 2015 Magnum shows an intense cherry red color with violet rim and great density in the glass. On the nose, it offers an intense and deep aromatic expression, with notes of ripe black fruits, such as blackberries and plums, along with hints of cocoa, spices, licorice and subtle notes of well-integrated oak.
On the palate, this red wine is powerful and fleshy, with a solid and well-integrated tannic structure. It stands out for its great complexity and balance, with intense flavors of black fruits, spices and cocoa, along with smoky and mineral touches. It has a long and persistent finish, with balanced acidity that adds freshness.
The Numanthia 2015 Magnum is an ideal wine to pair with red meats, game, lamb dishes and cured cheeses. It is recommended to decant it beforehand to allow it to open and fully express all its characteristics. This presentation in magnum format, which is equivalent to two standard bottles of wine, is perfect for special celebrations or to keep in the cellar and enjoy on special occasions.
