Krug Grande Cuvée Edition 173 is the quintessence of Krug's artisanal excellence: an extraordinary blend of 150 wines from 13 different vintages, the youngest from 2017 and the oldest from 2001. Each year, one of the editions of one of the world's most sought-after and highly regarded champagnes is released, according to leading critics worldwide.
Krug Grande Cuvée was born from the dream of one man, Joseph Krug, who wanted to offer the best champagne every year, regardless of the vintage or variations in the weather. A stay of approximately seven years in the Krug cellars gives this Krug Grande Cuvée its distinctive character, expression, and elegance. It is the first and only Prestige champagne recreated each year, transcending the traditional vintage.

TASTING NOTES
Appearance
Intense golden yellow color.
Nose
Expressive, fragrant, and powerful with aromas of toast and brioche, stone fruit, verbena, vanilla custard, French toast, and rum baba.
Palate
Unctuous, creamy, and generous, with flavors that echo the nose. Hints of juicy fruit, peach in syrup, and ripe citrus give way to caustic, toasty, and pine nut notes. Its texture is rich and precise, with a fresh and enticing lemon finish that invites another sip.
