Mastrojanni has been writing history with its wines since 1975, collecting awards from all over the world. And in those years, only a few people entered the Montalcino wine adventure.

Today, thanks to an exceptional terroir and men who have believed in it for decades, Mastrojanni has become one of the most respected Montalcino producers among wine lovers. Andrea Machetti took the reins of Mastrojanni in 1992, transforming it into one of Montalcino's most respected producers.

These days the world famous winemaker Maurizio Castelli arrived. Maurizio is, like Andrea and the rest of the Mastrojanni team, a "non-interventionist": he tries to let the wine carry out its own evolution, dictated by its own nature.

Its terroir has a privileged location in Montalcino. Situated on the slopes of an extinct volcano, it offers the vineyard a microclimate that keeps storms away and keeps the soil at the optimal temperature for the ripening of the Sangiovese variety.
