Description

Alión is the younger sibling of Vega Sicilia, although it is produced in a separate winery. With each vintage, it gains more followers and is now a must-have among the great Spanish reds. The fruit of a mosaic of vineyards and vines, it represents the complex expression of Ribera del Duero's diversity. The 2022 vintage presented a challenge due to its dry and warm weather; even so, the wine retains its freshness and fruity juiciness, showing itself to be round, excellently balanced, and smooth on the palate.

Appearance

Bright cherry color.

Nose

Complex and expressive with a marked spicy character, notes of ripe red fruit and spices, and a pleasant mineral finish.

Palate

Full, long, and persistent, with tension and maturity.
