At Poggio Antico -a winery located in the village of Montelcino, in the province of Siena-, quality is the goal that all their wines must reach. Yes, we know that this is not unique to this winery; but things change when you discover the triple selection of all their grapes: first in the vineyard, then on a sorting table (at the entrance of the winery) and finally, with the help of an optical sorting machine. Things take on a different nuance when this excellence is taken a step further and only the best vintages are produced, following a much more scrupulous selection. This is the origin of Poggio Antico Riserva Brunello di Montalcino, a red wine made only in those vintages that have been exceptional.
