Château Laribotte was born in vineyards located in Preignac, an area of choice for the production of sweet wines from Sauternes, south of Bordeaux.
It is made mainly with Sémillon grapes and with Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle grapes, harvested by hand in three steps with a careful selection of the clusters, after the berries have been attacked by the "noble rot" Botrytis cinerea . Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature of 20 ° C. The wine is then aged for 24 months in concrete tanks and 12 months in barrels before bottling.
Château Laribotte Sauternes has an intense golden yellow color. The nose opens with a bouquet characterized by notes of candied fruit and toast. The palate is expressive and of good length, with notes of honey, white peach and apricot, with hints of vanilla and orange marmalade on the finish.
Perfect with dry desserts and pastries, this Sauternes is ideal with foie gras, cheeses and white meat dishes.
