EL SEQUE 2022

El Sequé is a red wine from the oldest vineyards of the Artadi winery. A powerful, balsamic, mature, unctuous, and fleshy wine, it embodies the hallmarks of wines made from the Monastrell variety.

The result of selecting old vines from our estate is a wine with a clear Mediterranean expression, with warm and pronounced nuances of black fruit, seasoned balsamic aromas and flavors, aromatic herbs, and undergrowth. A wine with authentic Mediterranean character.

TASTING NOTES

Nose:

Aromatic and expressive, with prominent ripe black fruit (blackberry, plum) and red fruit. Balsamic notes, Mediterranean herbs (thyme, rosemary), undergrowth, and subtle toast and spicy hints from aging also appear.

Palate:

A powerful, fleshy, and enveloping entry with a silky texture. Polished, fine-grained tannins, well integrated. A broad mid-palate, with a balance between ripeness and freshness, and a long, persistent, and slightly balsamic finish, with hints of ripe fruit and spice.
