Chablis Grand Régnard is a single varietal Chardonnay from Appellation Chablis Contrôlée made by Maison Régnard.
Maison Régnard is an old winery in Chablis, Burgundy, founded in 1860. It is one of the last wineries in Chablis to have all of its cellars in the historic center of the town, bearing witness to its noble past. It was acquired in 1984 by Baron Patrick Ladoucette, who took over the winery and continued to perpetuate and improve the style and typicity of the wines.
The grapes for the Régnard Chablis Grand Régnard come from vineyards about 30 years old planted on clay and limestone soils from the late Jurassic. Harvesting is done by hand and the grapes are gently pressed when they arrive at the winery. They are then fermented and undergo malolactic fermentation in stainless steel to lower the acidity and give it a slightly lactic touch.
The Régnard Chablis Grand Régnard is a pleasant white wine made by a winery with a long tradition in Chablis.
