A very special Douro. Its elegance, complexity, and soft, velvety tannins form a unique blend that expresses the best of the old vines from which it comes, the coolest and most sheltered vineyards in the Mendiz Valley, in the heart of the Pinhão Valley.

For Dirk Niepoort, Charme represents his ultimate interpretation and proclaimed passion for Burgundy. This unfortified still wine is produced in round granite tanks. A unique signature wine.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance

Bright, pale color. The appearance is probably the closest to a Burgundy Pinot Noir.

Nose

Reveals the complexity of the grape varieties and old vines that make up this blend. It begins floral, followed by fleeting nuances of graphite on a background of raspberry and rhubarb. The oak is incredibly discreet and balanced by menthol aromas that further enhance the wine's sophistication.

Palate

It impresses with outstanding elegance, precision, delicate structure, and superb acidity. The finish is long, with persistent spicy nuances and freshness.
