Roseisle 12YO The Origami Kite Special Release 2023

This whiskey, whose nickname is The Origami Kite, pays tribute to the centuries-old art of making origami kites, which combines wonder, simplicity and a touch of magic to make colorful and elegant creations. It is part of the limited edition Diageo Special Release 2023, known as Spirited Xchange, and has been created in Elgin (Speyside). This is the first release of this medium-bodied natural cask strenght malt, bottled as it comes out of the cask without being watered down, from carefully selected casks in which a wide variety of aromas and flavors are well integrated into a discreet and pleasing whole that exceeds the already considerable sum of the parts.

A fine baptism for this brand, a malt of great smoothness that, in the style of this first release, as in its location, ably inhabits between the rich grassiness and fruity generosity of central Speyside and the nutty, spicy notes of the Highlands.

Ryoko Tamura is a Scottish illustrator and designer based in Edinburgh, creator of this label, known for incorporating traditional Japanese techniques into her intricate artwork that often depicts nostalgic images and motifs reflecting a mix of Scottish and Japanese influences.
