Talisker The Wild Explorador Special Release 2023

This Talisker, subtitled The Wild Explorador, pays homage to the great ships of the Portuguese explorers who sailed around the world to unknown destinations. The illustrator was Ricardo Rui, whose signature style is a fusion of intricate realism and a nostalgic retro element that results in captivating and evocative illustrations.

This whiskey is special, being one of two in the Diageo Special Releases 2023 collection, Spirited Xchange, which has no specific age. It is a natural cask strenght, bottled as it comes out of the barrel without being diluted with water, which is made in Carbost (Skye). It is noted for its sweet and fruity notes. Its flavor profile is vigorous and emphasizes the classic characteristics in all aspects: saline, smoky and spicy.
