Lagavulin 12 YO The Ink of Legends Special Release 2023

Created at the Port Ellen distillery on Islay. A vigorous example of the brand, focused on robust and elemental flavors. Lovers of smoky whisky will love it. This is a Lagavulin natural cask strenght, bottled as it comes out of the cask without being watered down, at its most vigorous, delicious to drink and full of distillery character. The tequila finishing barrels have contributed indelible layers of bright, herbal smoke and dark plum fruit. It is nicknamed The Ink of Legends because it is inspired by the ancient Mesoamerican art of tattooing, in which each work of art is a story of stories captured on a living canvas;

Raúl Urías, a Mexican illustrator, has been commissioned to create the label. His work combines modern design with Aztec and Mayan styles, using vibrant colors, intricate patterns and organic shapes inspired by the flora and fauna of his home state to create compelling images that celebrate Mexican art and culture.
