La Grande Dame pays homage to Madame Clicquot who used to say: "our black grapes give the best white wines". This champagne is "the glory of Pinot noir".
La Grande Dame respects Madame Clicquot's vision to the hilt by using 90% of this variety since the 2008 vintage. To make this classic, grapes from eight of the winery's historic Grand Crus have been used. The 2015 Grande Dame comes from an exceptional sunny vintage that has left a wine full of tension and elegance.
La Grande Dame 2015 is the 24th vintage since 1972, the year Veuve Clicquot launched its first prestige cuvée to celebrate the house's bicentennial. In this edition, the label design has been the responsibility of Paola Paronett.
