Camino del Abuelo is a red wine produced by Bodegas Alilian in the D.O. Ribera del Duero.
The location of the area where the grapes grow gives it aromas of ripe red fruit and balsamic.
Its fruity character, the complexity of its aromas and the sensations it shows at each sip, makes it a unique wine of great personality. A wine that will undoubtedly become exquisite with the passage of time.
TASTING NOTES
Intense cherry red color.
Intense ripe red fruit and balsamic aromas (thyme, sardinilla, lavender) appear on the nose. After moving the glass, fine notes of pastries from the French oak appear, along with mineral notes from the subsoil where the deep roots of the vineyard are found. Finally, light spicy notes appear, with an important licorice background, cushioned by the fine toasted notes, pine nuts, hazelnuts, chocolates, given by the toasting of the barrel.
Very elegant entry on the palate with a very well marked acidity, characteristic of the 2013 vintage, where red fruit predominates. In tune with the initial creaminess appear very elegant sweet tannins from the ripe grape skins and the great selection of fine-grained wood. Good concentration, ample, aromatic and sweet. Lactic notes appear together with the oak, making a wine with a complex finish.
