Enate Reserva 2015 is a premium red wine produced at the prestigious Enate winery, located in the Somontano region in northeastern Spain. This wine is the result of the combination of tradition and modernity in its production, and is characterized by its complexity, elegance and power.
It is made mainly from Tempranillo grapes, complemented with other red varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, carefully selected from the winery's vineyards. The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a rigorous selection process to ensure the highest quality.
After fermentation, the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 14 months, followed by bottle maturation before release. This barrel aging adds complexity and elegance to the wine, as well as notes of spice, vanilla and toast.
It has an intense ruby red color with garnet hues at the rim. On the nose, it offers a wide range of aromas, including ripe red and black fruits, such as cherries, blackberries and plums, as well as notes of cocoa, coffee and licorice from the barrel aging. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, with firm but well-integrated tannins and a balanced acidity that adds freshness. It has a long and persistent finish, with a harmonious combination of fruit and toasty flavors.
It is an ideal wine to pair with red meats, game, cured cheeses and haute cuisine dishes. Decanting is recommended before serving to allow it to open up and show all its complexity.
