MATARROMERA CRIANZA 2023

Matarromera Crianza is a red wine from Ribera del Duero that has become a cult favourite. Its first vintage, 1994, won the title of Best Wine in the World at an international competition organised by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV). Since then, this 100% Tempranillo wine has been one of Matarromera's hallmarks.

Tasting Note

Vista

Very dark cherry red colour with abundant violet tones. Very opaque, clean and bright.

Nariz

High intensity and aromatic complexity: very ripe black fruits such as blackberries, redcurrants and sour cherries combine with rounded ageing notes — roasted aromas, coffee, vanilla, cocoa — and a spicy-balsamic background that may evoke liquorice and fine wood.

Boca

Tasty, intense, full-bodied and elegant. The palate is broad, with ripe tannins that are well integrated with the fruit. The finish is powerful and long, showing good balance between structure and flavour. There is a sensation of volume alongside finesse.
