MI LUGAR BLANCO 2021 - QUEIRÓN

Mi Lugar Blanco 2021, from Bodegas Queirón, is a signature wine made with 100% Tempranillo Blanco, a native Rioja grape variety. Harvesting is done at night and manually, with the grapes received at low temperatures (+5°C) protected by dry ice. Fermentation takes place in several phases: in a cold tank at 14°C with skins for a week, then at 16°C without skins, and finally in French oak barrels (500L) for two weeks. After this, 85% of the wine ages on lees in barrels for six months, and the remaining 15% is aged in stoneware amphorae. It is then blended, bottled, and aged for another six months before being released.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance:

Straw yellow with golden tinges, dense tears, and an attractive golden sheen.

Nose:

Very intense, elegant, and complex. Floral aromas of white flowers, fennel, and thyme emerge, along with honeyed notes of apricot, peach, plums, and dried apricots. The aging process also adds traces of clove, tobacco, and brioche, lending depth and elegance.

Palm:

Extremely pleasant, lively, and medium-bodied entry. A marked fruit profile (apricot, peach, passion fruit) with almond and honey notes, as well as a firm and persistent structure. Spicy notes (clove, tobacco) emerge, lending complexity at retronasal. Its balanced acidity lends freshness, while contact with the lees and wood gives it weight and texture.
