PROTOS CARROA 2021

Protos Carroa 2021 is a red wine from the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, produced by Bodegas Protos as a tribute to the historic paths that connect Roa and its surroundings. It is made with 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes from vineyards over 50 years old spread across different microclimates and altitudes in the province of Burgos, with sandy-loamy and gravel soils that promote optimal ripening and express elegance and freshness.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance

Intense cherry red color with bright violet edges. Dense and elegant tears.

Nose

Very expressive and deep: it combines ripe black and red fruit (blueberries, blackberries), with nuances of vanilla, coconut, cedar, clove, cocoa, and fine tobacco, as well as light toasted and balsamic notes that add complexity.

Palate

Complex and appealing: it is flavorful, fresh, and enveloping, with ripe tannins, a velvety texture, and well-balanced acidity and volume. The finish is long, reminiscent of the terroir and high-quality fruit. It has an elegant and rounded mid-palate, characterized by spicy notes and a well-integrated structure.
