Produced by the renowned Château d'Yquem, this wine is made from Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes affected by noble rot, known as botrytis cinerea. The grapes are harvested by hand in several passes to select the bunches most affected by botrytis, which concentrates the sugar and flavors in the berries. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels and the wine is aged for years, sometimes decades, in the Château's cellars, developing a unique complexity and incomparable elegance.
