Teso La Monja 2019 is a "big statement" wine: it's not a light or immediate red, but rather a wine that exhibits power, depth, and ambition. It's for those who enjoy intense, complex wines with a well-integrated oak presence, elegance, and minerality that reward cellaring or decanting.
It shines especially if allowed to air, either in the glass or if opened a little in advance. It pairs ideally with roasted or braised red meats, game, stews, aged cheeses, and dishes with powerful flavors; and it can also be interesting with dishes that have smoky flavor components or spices to complement its spicy and toasty profile.

TASTING NOTES
Appearance
Very deep, cherry red with violet edges, dense, with good visual concentration.
Nose
Rich and complex aromas: ripe dark fruits (plum, blackberry, black cherry), hints of scrubland and wild herbs; balsamic and spicy notes; hints of toasted wood, cocoa, and vanilla derived from the new oak. A certain minerality (gravel, limestone) and elegance are also perceived.
Palm
The palate is powerful, with a full body, firm but ripe tannins, and a clearly marked structure. Good balance between acidity, alcohol, and tannins, giving it freshness despite its power. The texture is silky as the sip progresses, creamy, and long-lasting. The finish is long and warm, with a return of dark fruits, finely toasted wood, and minerals.
