Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5º 2019 Magnum is a special, enlarged version of the renowned Valbuena 5º 2019 red wine, produced by the prestigious Vega Sicilia winery in the Ribera del Duero wine region of Spain. The Magnum format presentation means that the bottle has a capacity of 1.5 liters, double that of a standard bottle of wine.
Valbuena 5º 2019 Magnum retains all the exceptional characteristics and qualities of its standard-size counterpart. It is made from a meticulous selection of high quality grapes, mainly Tempranillo (Tinto Fino), grown in the winery's vineyards. Small proportions of other varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec are also added to bring complexity to the wine.
In terms of winemaking, Valbuena 5º 2019 Magnum undergoes a process of aging in French and American oak barrels for approximately 5 years, which gives it remarkable structure and complexity. During this aging period, the wine acquires elegant notes of wood, spices and vanilla from the barrels.
In terms of its organoleptic characteristics, Valbuena 5º 2019 Magnum offers an exceptional sensory experience. On the nose, intense and expressive aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberries and plums, along with subtle notes of licorice, tobacco and spices. On the palate, it is a powerful and concentrated wine, with firm, silky tannins, balanced acidity and an elegant structure. The finish is long and lingering, providing a feeling of fullness and satisfaction.
The Magnum format of Valbuena 5º 2019 adds a special dimension to the presentation of the wine, making it ideal for special occasions and celebrations. In addition, having a larger capacity, the wine benefits from a slower maturation process and greater longevity, which can contribute to its cellaring potential and evolution in the bottle.
