La Grande Dame pays homage to Madame Clicquot who in 1818 made the first known rosé d'assemblage by blending some of her red wines from Bouzy with her whites. This lady used to say: "our red grapes give the best white wines". Pinot noir is the main protagonist with 90% of the blend. The grapes come from the house's historic crus. In addition, red wine from a single vineyard is added to the blend.
plot, Clos Colin, located in Bouzy, a Grand Cru terroir. This is the 9th edition of this wine;
