Chassagne-Montrachet 1º Cru Morgeot Domaine Bachey-Legros 2021

This Premier Cru is located in Les Petits Clos, facing east-west, in the heart of the appellation on an area of 2 hectares. These rich, calcareous-clay soils, calcified by deep-rooted vines planted in 1950, give the wine the softness of great white wines, underlined and balanced by a beautiful mineral structure. 14 months of aging on lees in oak barrels reveal the natural qualities of this exceptional wine. Its youth is fascinating, being a broad, long wine, with floral notes, yellow fruit and citrus. Its aging capacity is astonishing. A true metamorphosis. As soon as it is poured into the glass, it takes a few minutes to open, but as soon as it is poured it reveals surprising, rich and warm aromas. In the mouth it shows surprising freshness, and as always shows a great propensity to age. Great minerality combined with creaminess and lemony notes balance nicely.
