PAGO DE LA OLIVA

When we talk about Pago de la Oliva, we are necessarily talking about a family, about a project of its own that reflects all the passion that is poured into the land and the vineyard when you fall in love with them and they make you share in what they feel and what they give.

José Barbero has passed on this way of life and feeling for the vines to three generations. His daughters and grandson share it and promote it with enthusiasm and vision for the future.

The vineyard is everything for the Barbero family; it is their way of life and everything revolves around it. Long years of observation and learning have been necessary to understand the cultivation and to obtain grapes of the highest quality.

"Only from exceptional grapes can exceptional wine be created" is the bodega's motto. Pago de la Oliva seeks to cultivate with respect, to take care of the vines and the soil where they grow, to create an ecosystem that will last over time.

The winery produces all its wines with a single variety: Tempranillo (also known as Tinta del Pais or Tinto Fino).
