The 2022 Corton Grand Cru "Clos des Maréchaudes" is an exclusive monopole cuvée from Domaine du Pavillon, owned by Albert Bichot. This 0.55-hectare vineyard, located in Aloxe-Corton, is distinguished by its east-southeast exposure and calcareous soils on clay rubble, which favors early grape ripening. The vines, between 40 and 50 years old, produce high-quality grapes that are hand-picked and fermented in thermo-regulated wooden vats for 18 to 21 days. The wine ages for 16 to 18 months in oak barrels, with 35-45% new barrels, giving it remarkable structure and complexity.
