PAGO DE CARRAOVEJAS EL ANEJÓN 2021

The 2020 vintage of El Anejón conveys the uniqueness of the plot from which it comes. The terraces of Anejón rise above the valley, covered by the forest that protects them, in a terroir with unique characteristics. Three varieties from the plot are used in its production: 95% Tinto Fino, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot. 9.43 hectares of vineyards with austere soils and a steep slope, which is compensated for by terraces.

Tasting Note

Very intense cherry red colour with garnet hues. Clean, bright, with good depth.

Nose

Complex and elegant aromas: ripe black and red fruit (blackberries, plums, currants) accompanied by floral and spicy notes, fine cocoa, toasted ageing and very recognisable mineral nuances from the limestone terraces.

Mouth

Full-bodied and silky on the palate, with good balance and ripe tannins that provide structure without harshness. Long and persistent finish, with a balsamic and mineral background that gives it the character of a unique vineyard.
