PALO CORTADO DOS CORTADOS 30 AÑOS 50 CL

The expression “dos cortados” or “tres cortados” refers to the marks made with chalk on the casks by the foreman when a cask isn't flowing in the desired direction for the intended wine. Palo Cortado is a unique wine, somewhere between Amontillado and Oloroso. Dos Cortados comes from the Balbaína vineyard, classified as Jerez Superior, and is pungent and intense on the nose, with complex notes of nuts and hazelnut. Very elegant and persistent on the palate, and tremendously expressive.

Appearance

A wine with a color between old gold and amber, very bright.

Nose

A very pungent, intense, and complex aroma with light notes of nuts and hazelnut.

Palate

Dry, with just the right acidity, full-bodied, and very elegant and persistent on the palate. The retronasal finish is tremendously expressive and unforgettable. A sherry with the nose of an Amontillado and the palate of an Oloroso.
