Château Pape Clément is one of the oldest Grands Crus in Bordeaux. The property, whose vineyard was first planted in the 13th century, is currently owned by Bernard Magrez and has Michel Rolland and Julien Viaud as winemaking consultants. With this 2022 vintage they celebrate no less than 770 vintages and do so by offering a true "thoroughbred", in the words of Decanter critic Georgina Hindle. Perfumed, fresh, floral, subtle stone nuances, powerful tannins and a good structure that bodes well for a long ageing.

VINEYARD AND WINEMAKING
The grapes were manually destemmed berry by berry on a sorting table. The grapes were transferred by gravity to vats and then underwent cold pre-fermentation maceration for 30 days. Manual 'Pigéages'. After this process, the wine was again transferred by gravity to barrels to complete malolactic fermentation.
