Located a stone's throw from the center of Pommard, the "Clos des Ursulines" is a true haven of peace dotted with century-old pines... This tranquility undoubtedly attracted the nuns of the Ursulines convent, who were the first owners of this vineyard.
This land, a monopoly with a surface area of almost 10 acres, is located at the southern end of Pommard, in the direction of Volnay. Its unique terroir contradicts the all too common belief that Pommard wines are synonymous with a certain "masculine" character.

TASTING NOTE
Nose
Deep, combining aromas of red and black fruits (cherry, blackcurrant, fig...), floral notes (violet, rose, peony...) and delicate hints of oak and spices. These aromas will evolve towards more animal and undergrowth notes over the years.
Palate
It is full-bodied, round and supported by ripe tannins. This powerful and structured wine remains subtle, elegant and silky, almost feminine due to the vineyard's proximity to Volnay. The finish is long and velvety.
Food pairing
Try this wine with roasted or stewed meats (beef, lamb, duck, game), or with medium aged cheeses.
