The Moulin-à-Vent appellation covers an area of 1,600 hectares in the north of the Beaujolais region.
Our 5-hectare estate is ideally situated in the heart of one of the 18 recognized "Rochegrès" climats which, as its name suggests (sandstone rock), features granitic bedrock outcrops among the vines.
The vines benefit mainly from the southeastern exposure and thrive on pink granitic soils, poor and very pure. They are therefore forced to sink their roots deep to obtain the nutrients they need.
This wine is made with grapes from the oldest vines of the "Rochegrès" terroir.

TASTING NOTE
Nose
Intense aromas of ripe red fruit (cherry) that will evolve over time towards floral notes (rose), spices and, eventually, undergrowth.
Palate
It is characterized by its body and roundness, with elegant and round tannins. On the finish there is the sensation of a harmonious alliance between body and finesse, in fact, the expression of this terroir in all its purity.
Food pairing
Try this wine with roasted or stewed meats (veal, lamb, duck, game), or with medium aged cheeses.
