SAINT EMILION CHATEAU AUSONE 2022

Château Ausone 2022 is a red wine from the Bordeaux region of France, classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the official Saint-Émilion classification, although the winery has decided to withdraw from this classification since the 2022 vintage. This wine is made from a blend of 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Merlot, grown in the château's iconic 7-hectare vineyard, located on a limestone hill with southern exposure. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled wooden vats, followed by aging for 20 to 22 months in 100% new French oak barrels.

Appearance:

Deep ruby ​​red color with purple hues, bright and attractive.

Nose:

Complex and enveloping aromas that combine ripe black fruits such as blackberry and blackcurrant with floral notes of iris and peony. Hints of licorice, cedar, tobacco, chocolate, and sweet spices are also perceived, providing great depth and elegance.

Palate:

Silky and structured entry, with fine, well-integrated tannins. The palate is broad and mineral, with vibrant acidity that provides freshness and longevity. The fruit flavors linger, accompanied by a saline touch on the long, persistent finish.
