The name Viña Gravonia comes from the vineyards that López de Heredia owns, located about 200 meters from the winery, which were acquired by the great-grandfather of the current owners of this Rioja winery. Historically, these wines were called Viña Zaconia, when they were made as sweet wines from Botritys cinerea, just as they were called Sauternia, a clear reference to the French Sauternes. Today, they are not sweet, and this unique 100% Viura white stands out for its complex nose and a fresh, evolving palate with a tremendously long finish.
