Hospices De Beaune Pouilly-Fuisse 2020

These vineyards, located in Chaintré, in the south of the appellation, entered the Domaine des Hospices de Beaune in 1994 and 2012 after the demise of Françoise Poisard.

Climate and plots:

Three terroirs are the origin of this cuvée. The Plessys with their clays bring roundness and power. The Chevrières, steeper with a stony, calcareous soil and a low clay layer, confer a "racial" side in addition to minerality. Finally, the Robées are characterized by their fruity contribution.

Vinification:

Once vinified, the wines are aged between 18  and 24 months in new French oak barrels with a low toast (provided by Hospices de Beaune), in the Prosper Maufoux cellar.
