Mr. No Sulfite Beaujolais Villages 2022| Maison Albert Bichot – France
Mr. No has a lot of personality. The fresh blueberry notes lead to a lovely fruity taste that has finesse and is supported by silky tannins.
Stored for 5-6 months in stainless steel tanks.
The wine should be enjoyed young, as the content of natural sulphites is very low. Please note that the wine is not filtered and therefore sediment may appear at the bottom of the bottle.
The Maison Albert Bichot wine company was founded by Bernard Bichot in 1831 in the small town of Monthelie. Today, it is the sixth generation in the form of Alberic Bichot who runs the company, which is based in Beaune just outside the city walls. Bichot represents fields all over Burgundy, and is today one of the largest Burgundy exporters. In addition, Bichot owns the six highly respected Domaines: Domaine Long-Depaquit in Chablis, Domaine Adélie in Mercurey, Domaine du Clos Frantin and Château Gris in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine du Pavillon in Pommard, and Domaine de Rochegrès in Moulin-a- Wait.
Maison Albert Bichot decided to convert their wine production to organic wine production in the early 2000s. In 2014, they got their organic certification. In response to increasing consumer demand for so-called natural wine, Albert Bichot can now offer Mr. No Sulfite from Beaujolais Villages.
Mr. No is produced from 100% Gamay grapes and has no added sulphites or yeast. The vinification takes place for 10 days in temperature-controlled steel tanks and is then stored in stainless steel tanks for 5 to 6 months.
Mr. No is not added sulphites, not added yeast, not clarified and not filtered.

TASTING NOTE
Nose
Intense aromas of ripe red fruit (cherry) that will evolve over time towards floral notes (rose), spices and, eventually, undergrowth.
Palate
It is characterized by its body and roundness, with elegant and round tannins. On the finish there is the sensation of a harmonious alliance between body and finesse, in fact, the expression of this terroir in all its purity.
Food pairing
Try this wine with roasted or stewed meats (veal, lamb, duck, game), or with medium aged cheeses.
